実はやんわりと書きましたが、
先月末に突然解雇になって絶望を味わっていました。
が、
捨てる神あれば拾う神あり
人生七転び八起き
禍福はあざなえる縄の如し
ひょうたんから駒
なのか
この超不景気に、再就職先見つかりましてん！やったっ
日系の世界的企業の翻訳ですー。面接２回、翻訳のテストも受けて、無事通りましたー。
（契約だけどそんなこと関係ないっ）
一ヶ月で失業生活離脱というのはめちゃ早いと思う、我ながら。
よかった、よかった。
ついでに、貧乏からも離脱宣言しちゃう。
だってー、前の職場の給料よりめちゃめちゃいいのーーー
（前の職場、まぁ販売だからそんなもんかもしれんけど）
しかも仕事は翻訳だから勉強なるしーキャリアとして積める内容だしー
言うことなしーーーー！最高！
解雇になって道が開けました。こんなことも人生にはあるんですね、皆さん。
しかもこれが受かる前に、１つ面接落ちたんだけどそれがうまく練習台になりました。
それがアメリカ式の面接で、日本のとどう違うかというと、
とにかく面接中は質問に聞かれた以上のことを答えて自己アピールすべしってこと。
日本のように聞かれたこと以上にしゃべって
あつかましいやつだとか
そんなこと聞いてないしー
協調性なさそうとか
性格きついんちゃうん、とか思われると心配してはいけない…
とにかく、
この仕事は自分に向いている、
自分以外には出来ない、
この仕事にもう夢中、
明日から働くシミュレーション頭の中でしてみてます
みたいなやる気をバンバン見せないと、死んだ面接になってしまう。
私は、そのダメだった採用試験の最終面接で
これを通れば採用っていうところで部長さんと面接したけど、
これがもう受身受身の姿勢で臨んだものだから
「質問が無いなら終わらせて頂きます」って切られて、「終わった…」とその場で分かりました。
仕事内容的にも、その人との相性的にも合格しなくてよかったーと今は心からそう思う。
いい実践練習になりましたーありがとう！しかも適性を見て落としてくれてありがとう！
今回は仕事が翻訳だったから質問もイメージしやすかったし、
ほんとに、これ落ちたら次応募するとこないで…と思っていたので
ほんと受かってよかったです。
性格的にも私は非社交的なので翻訳作業は私に合っている、と思う。
もちろん受かってから、先輩翻訳者の皆さんに追いつくのが大変なんですけど、
私この仕事にシアトルにいる間はしがみつこうと思っているので頑張ります。
あーこれで映画見に行けるし
習い事もできる…嬉しい（涙）
生きていればいいこともあると再確認した出来事でした。

I implied last month, but I had been experiencing despair due to a sudden laid-off since the end of last month until yesterday.
As these proverbs say,
• One man's trash is another man's treasure.
• Life is of ups and downs
•The worse luck now, the better another time
•Pennies from heaven
Despite this super recession, I found a new job!!
It is a translation position at a Japanese but super global company.
I took two Interviews, took one translation test and passed!
(This is a contract job, but it doesn’t matter!)
This also means that I could withdraw from poverty.
(Salary is much better than before!)
Most importanly, I can start my career as a translator in the US.
To tell the truth, I failed one interview. I appreciate that I failed, since I could actually go through what the American-style interview was like before this job interview.What you have to do there is selling yourself whenever it may be during the entire interview time.
So you must show :
How well you fit in the job
How interested you are in the job already
You have so many questions as if you would start the job tomorrow
In order to answer every question, you basically should answer more than what you were asked.
If you fail to show your high motivation, the interview leaves the impression “dead.”
At the final interview I failed, the manager said,
“If you don’t have questions, this interview is done.”
I already knew that I failed at this moment.
I'm glad I did not pass that interview. Thank you for dropping me. I think I didn’t fit in the job anyway.
It will be hard to catch up with the skills of the senior translators, but I will do my best since I will hang onto this job as long as I am in Seattle.
If you keep trying, there may be a good thing waiting for you.
