Birthday and Chocolate



He has caught a cold,

so some pathces are on his face for congestion.

風邪をひいていたので

ファイテンのテープを張って治療中

On Craig's birthday, I gave him a card and chocolate.

クレイグの誕生日、カードとチョコレートをあげた。

The birthday is day when I describe as much love and gratefulness for him as possible from the bottom of my heart.

誕生日は本気のカードを書く日。感動させ中。

The present is his favorite, chocolate. I walked back to home for 30 mins holding an umbrella on a rainy day, so it is messed up in the box... but it was fun with a lot of variety of taste.

I asked my friend where to buy good ones. I don't know much about Seattle yet.

プレゼントは大好物のチョコレート。雨の日に傘を差しながら30分歩いて持って帰ったからぐちゃぐちゃになってしまった。シアトルのことはまだ良く知らないので、会社の同僚ににどこで美味しいチョコレートが買えるか聞いた。

This is a gift from a customer on the next day. This looks much better...I was allowed to bring 3 back to Craig.

ちょっと色が悪いですが、翌日お客さんから別の店のチョコレートもらった。私が上げたのより美味しそう。（どっちも美味しかったけど）クレイグに３つぐらい持って帰ったらと言われ、素直にいただいた。

No wonder I have gained weight.

そして本日の同僚からの差し入れ。太るはずだべ。

Christmas Feast

Thanks to the Trader Joe's gift card which Craig's parents sent to us, we could have this gorgeous meal.
クレイグの両親がオサレなスーパー、トレーダージョーの商品券を贈呈していただいたおかげでこんなに豪華なお食事がいただけました。

Craig planned and prepared this Christmas feast.

私は張り切ってパイ作ったけど失敗した。 

クレイグは本当にいいやつだ！

I gave him ear buds. (Gifts are to be practical!) I still don't quite understand why we need to exchange gifts on Christmas (I will never understand this commercial aspect), but I was impressed that he went to the international district searching for items I would like although he was busy. I admit Christmas is a good occasion to express love and caring to each other. I like O'Henry's story, The last leaf, The Gift of the Magi.

プレゼントのイヤホン。私のプレゼントはあくまでも実用性重視。クリスマスは子供のときからケーキを食べる以外の意義が良く分からない。（そのケーキは本日失敗しました。）特にプレゼントを買ってもらうというところは、そんな文化は家にはなかったので良く分からん。でも忙しいにもかかわらず中華街に私が好きそうなものを探しに行ってクレイグには少し感激した。クリスマスとは愛情と思いを伝える日っていうことでいい日だなとは思うけれど。Oヘンリーの賢者の贈り物の話は好きだ。

Christmas Eve + Morning

On Christmas Eve, we had beer at a bar after work and I passed out on the couch.

Craig made this appetizer plate.

クリスマスイブは仕事の後にビールのみに行って、すきっ腹に飲んだから酔ってソファーで寝た。そんなことをしているうちにクレイグがおつまみプレート作ってくれた。

On Christmas morning, I had no idea what to eat on this special day.Craig prepared and baked chocolate croissants for us.

クリスマス当日の朝は、特別に何を食べるのか分からなかったけれども、これもクレイグが前日から用意しておいてくれた一晩寝かせて焼く冷凍チョコクロワッサン食べた。

 Although we are poor, we have lots of Christmas gifts, all the gifts of love.
 We are happy being together.

クレイグと一緒にいられることに感謝した。クレイグはええやつや（涙）。普段優しくしないとねっ。

Elf in Our Apartment

Sounds odd, we can see an elf in our apartment lately.
突然ですが、最近私たちのアパートには妖精が姿を現します。

He ramdomly appears but he is so shy and intraverted so he rarely speaks.
彼は気まぐれに姿を見せてくれますが、とてもシャイなのでほとんどしゃべってくれません。

One day we gave him a computer, he liked it a lot.
ある日彼にコンピューターをプレゼントしてみました。すごく気に入ってくれました。

Another day we gave him a pair of warm red socks since he was in short pants despite the cold weather, he liked them a lot.
またある日、短パンでは足が寒かろうと温かい赤いソックスをプレゼントしてみました。それもすごく気に入ってくれました。

Now he doesn't speak or move all the more for them.
いまやパソコンに没頭してますますしゃべってくれないし、靴下も暖かいのでその場を離れようとしません。

This is a real figure that I dared to take while he was being scared of being in a picture.
これがその妖精の姿である。カメラを怖がっていたが、なんとか撮影に成功した。
